Vintage and antique rugs are made entirely by hand. Skilled weavers tie each knot one by one to form an intricate pattern from memory, a skill passed down through generations.  From collecting and dyeing the wool with natural dyes to the elaborate process of weaving and  hand-knotting, these special pieces can take months or even years to make.

Despite having a higher initial price tag, vintage rugs will last much longer than modern man-made options with a little bit of care and they tend to retain their value as they age. They are renowned for their durability and are surprisingly easy to care for.

Vintage rugs are a great option for a sustainable home. Handmade rugs such as ours  are made with wool, cotton, and natural dyes and are extremely durable, repairable, and literally made to last lifetimes. When they finally reach the end of their lifecycle, these completely organic rugs will decompose in a relatively short time.

Many modern day machine-made rugs contain plastics and off-gas toxic chemicals into our homes. These rugs are often difficult to clean and repair and frequently end up in landfills, taking thousands of years to break down.

We have partners in Iran, Turkey, and Morocco that supply most of our vintage rugs.

We offer ‘buy now/ pay later’  instalment payments through two great providers: Afterpay & Sezzle.  Both options are available at checkout. If you’d like more flexible terms, please contact us for a custom payment plan using Etransfer (Canada) or Paypal (global).

Our default currency for the shop is USD, however, we are excited to now offer checkout in CAD as well for the convenience of our Canadian customers. See the top navigation bar on the website to choose your preferred currency.

Our goal is to ship your packages using the most sustainable practices available. We use recycled/recyclable cardboard, plastic-free tape, and tree free or recycled  paper products whenever possible. We are committed to constant improvement.

We ship everywhere! Canada / US shipping rates are available on the webshop once an item is added to cart. If you live outside of North America, please contact us for a shipping quote and we’ll be happy to help.

We ship from our studio in Dundas, ON, Canada. Please note, customers are responsible for any applicable customs/duty charges so please check with your location of import to learn more. The U.S. does not typically charge duty on incoming rugs.

Most orders are shipped out within 3–5 business days. All items are shipped ground and delivery times vary. We do everything in our power to make the customs process as smooth as possible, but sometimes there are delays beyond our control.  Please be patient as many couriers are experiencing delays due to COVID. Please contact us before purchasing if you need to arrange a faster delivery method.
